Omega Seamaster Diver 300M “Commander’s Watch” Limited Edition


2017 marks three noteworthy anniversaries for Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios’ (MGM) Bond franchise including: the 50th anniversary of “You Only Live Twice”; the 40th anniversary of “The Spy Who Loved Me”; and the 20th anniversary of “Tomorrow Never Dies.” In each of these films, James Bond can be seen wearing his official military uniform. To mark these special occasions, OMEGA has created a new timepiece that celebrates the rank and regalia of James Bond - the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M “Commander’s Watch” Limited Edition replica watch.

The design

The original new timepiece features a watch design inspired by the red, white and blue colors of the Royal Navy as well as the Commander’s insignia itself. The special new Seamaster is crafted from stainless steel and it measures 41mm in diameter. The watch case features a blue ceramic bezel with a Liquidmetal® diving scale, and red rubber covering the first 15-minute section.

The Commander’s Watch features a polished white dial 12 blue indexes, the word "Seamaster" written in red, and blue skeleton hands. There are two subtle nods to James Bond present on the dial: the 007 gun logo counterweight on the central seconds hand, and the number 7 in the date window which is colored red, while all other numerals are blue. The case-back reveals yet another tip of the hat to the fictional secret agent: a special golden rotor with a central 9mm "bullet" design.

The movement


The model is powered by the caliber Omega 2507, a self-winding chronometer with a Co-Axial escapement and rhodium-plated finish. The watch is water resistant to 300 meters and it comes with a 48 hour power reserve.

The case


Omega’s new Seamaster Diver 300M “Commander’s Watch” Limited Edition is mounted on a NATO textile strap with blue, red and grey 5-stripe pattern and a polished buckle. This stainless steel model, reference 212.32.41.20.04.001, is limited to just 7,007 pieces. It comes with a 3-year warranty, and in a special presentation box that has been inspired by a genuine medal case. The watch is delivered with an additional stainless steel bracelet, a changing tool, and a naval pin.

A more exclusive model, made from 18K yellow gold, reference 212.62.41.20.04.001, is also available in just 7 limited pieces. This one features a diving scale crafted from Ceragold™ and an 18K yellow gold central seconds hand.
