The Rolex Daytona, which is currently on display at BaselWorld 2013, features a Cerachrom bezel and comes with a gorgeous glacier blue dial. The watch is an elegant chronograph with brown-ringed registers, matching the chestnut brown color of the bezel. Cerachrom ceramic bezel with a tachymetric scale is fitted to measure average speeds of up to 400 miles or kilometers per hour. The dial reveals 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock, and small seconds hand at 6 o'clock.

Although nothing has changed significantly, this is a very special watch which celebrates the 50 years since the first launch of Daytona. The celebratory incarnation is quite attractive, but the watch stays pretty much the same Daytona as any other Daytona model. The watch comes in the same-shaped 40mm Oyster case and utilizes the same caliber 4130, which is COSC certified and entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. The chronograph (center hand) is accurate to within 1/8 of a second.
